My Sweet Little Kristena

As you all know my little girl Kristena (3) has had a lot of trouble with her ears and allergies. I posted some time ago on our daily prayers that she was going to have to have her adnoids and tonsils taken out and tubes put back in her ears. Well the day had come to have that done, I had to make her appointment yesterday. She is scheduled for surgery on May 16. Please keep her in your prayers and I will keep you all posted about her progress. I know I am going to be a nervous wreck that day because I am already upset about it. I love her dearly. And I love all my friends here at Baby Grace.

Sweetheart....Don't let her looks fool you, she is a handful and her older brother makes it worse...Whew they wear me out....He is 11 and teaches her things he shouldnt...LOL...Little story, last night we were sitting on the living room floor playing Trouble and Greg (my husband) told her it was bedtime, well the little stinker told him Quote "You are full of shit" OMG I liked to have died...LOL It was funny but I tried not to laugh....They are so innocent at that age...and of course my Gregory (my son) thought that was just hilarious...Oh well they are their mothers kiddos...LOL

As you know.....children repeat ...exactly what they hear.

When my grandson was 2, OH MY did he ever pick up some choice words from (not my side) family friends.

Whenever the $%^$# words came out, my daughter- in -law would run and get the bar of soap, and he got it believe me. Even his 4 yr old sister would hear that, and off she went for the soap. (one time she even brought liquid dish soap)

Getting near the Christmas holidays, I politely told him that he would not get that train he wanted from Santa, cause he said bad words.

OK grama!!! I won't say $%$#@ ANYMORE. Believe me, it was just as if he had turned the faucet OFF. NOT ONE MORE BAD WORD....

Now that he is 16, I hear a few every now and then.

Hey tell her to use vinegar...I works wonders....LOL...Well I have something else...Gregory my 11 year old had porn pictures folded up in his back pocket this weekend...Lordy Lordy....I am not ready for this...He said he found them in a field my his grandma's house....I just took the pictures and told him Dad would explain about the birds and the bees...It was funny, but I didnt let him know that...

Remember, I mentioned my grandaughter with the tubes as well.

She had to wear ear plugs whenever she entered the pool, shower or bathtub.

It will all be for the best Alisha, and she will feel 100% better, and SO will you. How we always wish that we can take the hurt away.

Hi Alisha I'm sorry to hear about your little one How is she? is she ok? My niece by my boyfiend's side always had ear infections and they would follow with a fever I don't want to worry you but you should really keep an eye on that. I will keep you in my prayers. Love always Liz.

She is

fine right now until surgery day....I am more nervous than she is...She always has had ear infections ever since she was about 3 months old..She has already had tubes once and then they came out. They really worked good. Anyway she runs about 105 degree fever when she does get an infection. She is on an anti-biotic and has been since Jan so it is keeping her from running any fever when her ears flair up right now. They are taking her adnoids and tonsils too because she gets a sinus infection and tonsilitis every time her ears get infected. Anyway, I am used to the fever and ear aches and sore throats by now but soon they will be a thing of the past, hopefully, and she will feel much better. Before she had her first set of tubes she was almost deaf in one ear because of the fluid, well the tubes fixed that, so maybe this surgery will fix the rest. I am keeping my fingers crossed and saying my prayers..

ok this is weird, you and I were talking the other night about ear infections, I told you Ryleigh very seldom ever gets one..Well she had to see the doc this morning, because she developed an abcess where something bit her on the back of her upper thigh. The doc said she has an ear infection too. Now that is weird, she never complained about her ear. I'm still keeping you all in my prayers. Will she be able to have really cold pudding?

Poor Ryleigh...Give her some lovin' for me....The antibiotics should take care of it though....Those things hurt..bless her heart....
I told Kristena that she was going to have surgery and what the doctor was going to do...I told her if she was real good they would reward her with ice cream and jello..She liked that idea (for now)...
I am sure pudding will be on the list though....Keep me posted about Ryleigh...Tell her I Love Her...

Keep an eye on that ear infection- make sure you have a follow-up to see that it has cleared up because an ear infection can diminish her hearing, and can therefore affect her speech perception (she will have trouble hearing sounds correctly). So, just make sure to get her checked again in a few weeks.

Thank you ladies for your support and prayers. Ryleigh must be feeling better, (her lil head doesn't spin as much lol). Missy is making her an appoint for next friday to make sure the infection has cleared up. We are having enough trouble with the speech, (she still hasn't started therapy yet), I have faith that the infection will clear up.

Your loving little girl, will be in goooooooddddd hands. The medical teams are excellent.

The popsicles, ice cream will be her medicine/reward for being so
brave. In a few days, she will be up and about, being herself once again. Best of all, no more sore throats.

I will keep you in my prayers. I to went through the same thing with my Ray. He had tubes placed 3 times. The last time he also had his tonsils and adenoids removed. He loves to tell the story about that, just ask him about it. When he was coming out of the anesthesia he was fighting the orderlies so they called me back there, he was swinging about madly and he clocked me in the side of the head. When I hollered his full name he stopped. He just loves to tell everyone how he hit his mom after his surgery. Keep lots of popscicles on hand for after the surgery. Love you Alisha and Kristena.

You have my prayers going strong girlfriend! I know how you feel since I work at Mom's Travel and specialize in guilt trips. Lol! I told you about my Kirsten and what I went through when she was 3. The hardest part is when she wakes up from surgery. The best part is they are young and resilient and don't remember a thing when they get older.

We are praying for you baby Kristena! God will be there by your side and take good care of you.
