Infant Born to Accused Killer will remain in Foster Home
July 10, 2008)--A Houston family court judge's ruling says that a baby boy born to a Texas woman charged with capital murder in the death of the toddler known as “Baby Grace” will remain in a Dallas foster home.
Kimberly Dawn Trenor, 19, gave birth to Shawn Trenor on June 26 at Mainland Medical Center.
The baby was immediately taken from her and turned over to Child Protective Services.
Trenor is charged with capital murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Riley Ann Sawyers, whose body was found in a box washed up on the shore of an island in Galveston Bay.
Before the toddler was identified, authorities dubbed her “Baby Grace.”
The Houston Chronicle reports CPS spokeswoman Estella Olguin says the judge issued an emergency order that places the newborn in the custody of his mother's distant relatives in Dallas.
The judge also transferred the case from Harris County to Galveston County.

I am still in awe of the fact she got pregnant, let alone the fact she is now trying to keep the baby in the family.

Hi Karen! If I am reading the article right he is still with Kim's distant relatives, they are serving as his foster parents for now until Kim's and Royce's legal rights as parents has been terminated. Then I guess the relatives will be allowed to adopt him and change his name if they want. I would guess that termination of their legal rights will depend alot on whether or not they are convicted. Right now they have just been charged. The whole thing sucks.
